Famous Foods February Flash Sale

CODE FEBFLAS

Hey friends and foodies!

We’re rounding out the month of February in true New England fashion this weekend – we’re starting off with some snow, some rain, some sleet, some wind, and then headed back into cold temps before marching into a new month. We’re still clearly not out of winter’s grasp yet, so we’re hunkered down enjoying some of our favorite cold-weather comfort food. We’ve got the crockpots on, logs in the fireplace, and books we’re ready to read as we enjoy this final weekend of February.

This weekend, we’re offering a February Flash Sale where you can take 15% off any order of $30 or more (code: FEBFLASH) – this is a great way to stock up on some pantry essentials!

Here are some items on our winter menu this weekend:

Hey friends and foodies!

We hope you had a FANG-tastic Halloween and are looking forward to all the holidays coming up that will bring your family and friends together around the table to celebrate and enjoy each other’s company.

We are already in full Thanksgiving mode here at FamousFoods and this week we wanted to highlight one of our favorite and most versatile items: Heritage Mik Lunch Crackers. Not only are they perfect for your breakfast or mid-day snack, Milk Crackers are used in one of our favorite stuffing recipes.

Here is our tried-and-true stuffing recipe using Milk Crackers:

Sausage-Stuffing-1024x686

Ingredients:
1.5 (16 ounce) boxes of Heritage Mill’s Milk Crackers
1 pound pork sausage
1 large onion, finely chopped
5 stalks celery, finely chopped
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
3 eggs, beaten
3 cups hot milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
In a food processor, grind the milk crackers into crumbs. Place in a large bowl.
Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown.
Drain, reserving liquid, and mix into the bowl with cracker crumbs.  In a medium saucepan over medium heat, slowly cook and stir the onion and celery in 3 tablespoons of the reserved sausage liquid until soft. Mix the onion and celery into the cracker crumb and sausage mixture. Mix in the poultry seasoning, salt, pepper, eggs, and milk. Chill in the refrigerator approximately 1 hour before stuffing the turkey.

You can find a printable version here.
